~ In the past, the church campout has been a time of relaxation and
fellowship. Unfortunately, due to changes in camping choices, the campout
has not happened for a few years.
The campout is a weekend event held for years on the last weekend of July that gives those who participate a chance to
build community and learn to play together as well as pray together. There is a diverse age
group of people from adults with small children to senior adults who attend. On Saturday
evening a community potluck is held with a communion worship service following. The rest of
the time is spent playing games, beach walks, campfires and story telling.
