"Who do YOU Say that I am?"

Today’s gospel asks the question that is
the most important of all questions. It is a question that is asked of
Peter, but because the Scriptures are the living Word, the question is asked
of us today. The answer you give will have eternal consequences. The
answer you give has in some way already been answered in the behavior you
have demonstrated in your every day life. Your answer may bring joy. It
may being sadness. It may bring a decision to change your ways. But, no
matter what, you cannot avoid the question. And so I bring it to you
today. What is your answer to the question Jesus asks us all today:
“Who do YOU say that I am?”
